Well thank you to anyone who still checks this site! Hahaha. There has been a lot going on in the life of Ryel j. I have been honored to capture so many beautiful and sweet Bride’s weddings this Summer. And I swear they will make an appearance on this blog. However we finished up capturing our wedding season in the nick of time because the Husband and I have been blessed to welcome our first born Dylan James Hendrickson, born on Monday November 15th, 2010. We’ve already warned him that the camera is just Mommy’s third hand.

When the Husband and I found out about the pending arrival of lil D we knew we were parents then. We made many parental decisions. We planned. We starting learning about this world of everything baby. But when we met him face to face on Monday night, Love Multiplied in a way that I never thought was possible. People warned me. And I knew that we would love him like no other… but the Husband and I have truly learned what LOVE is.

Now I’ve never been one to keep a good thing quiet ;) . Please check out my good friend Joy’s  beautiful blog to hear how she made in just in time!

Our life has changed forever. It’s deeper. Fuller. Exciting. Nerve racking. But I think my Gumps said it best when he said, “Your lives have new meaning.”

Today, 3 years ago I married the Love of my life. After 7 years together it’s hard for me to imagine a time when you weren’t there. A story I tell that you weren’t apart of. I look back over these last 3 years and am so thankful for the Man that you are and the Woman that you’ve made me to be. You’ve taught me to be more quite and have more compassion. You’ve taught me to slow down. To look at challenges from another view point. You’ve taught me more about me than I ever imagined. You’ve made me better. You’ve made me stronger. I’m so proud and honored that you chose to be my Husband. Thank you for fighting with me, working through our struggles. Thank you for working on you. Thank you for praying for me and letting me work on me too. I truly believe that we are stronger together. I am so much more in love with you than ever before. I have a better understanding of what Love is because of you. I am so excited about our future. The far away future when the kids are grown and it’s you and I again traveling to the ends of the world.

I wanted to share some of them with you. We found out that we are expecting our first little one this coming fall. We moved which was quite a feat in itself all while Wedding season is in full swing.

Recently, the Husband and I planned a Baby BBQ (hosted by my Mom and Dad) with close friends and family to all find out together what gender our little baby is. This was such a fun event!! The theme was a vintage picnic complete with pinwheels, wildflowers and yum yum BBQ. The afternoon was bright and sunny with a steady breeze. Sweet and Saucy Bake Shop made delicious treats for everyone to enjoy. Also they made a super cute vintage cake with the color of our little baby’s gender inside the cake.

The Plumbers’ plumbing is never done. And the photographer never has any family pictures… Well, thanks to my great and talented friend Joy, this photographer has her first set of family portraits! Joy flew in for the stellar Kiss-mas party and while she was here we had an impromptu portrait session. in the. Rain. IT was so fun!! I’m usually a reck on the other side of the lens. I’m best known for giving the same face. Oh you know the one… Smile, with slight head turned. I’m a high school year book picture charmer. But lets face it  one, two, three of the same look and its. Boring.

Joy made us feel so comfortable. Honestly, at one point I looked around for her because I didn’t think she was there. Thats how stealth she is! When I saw our proofs I was elated. Then, for a Birthday surprise, Joy made us an album!! I LLLLOOOOOOVVEEEEEEE it! I just had to share it with you all.
